Our farm clients are split evenly between dairying on the plains, & red meat in the hill & high country. Most are family farms; all are resilient & loyal. The same goes for our equine & small animal clients. We are Kaikoura’s only vet practice, so we take care of every kind of patient, from pet rabbits to some of the country’s best stud beef bulls.   

VetCARE Kaikoura is owned & operated by experienced husband & wife vet team, backed by an amazing support crew. This gives us the freedom to make decisions quickly when we need to, & to always stay focussed on doing the right thing by our clients as well as ourselves. 

Our original clinic has well & truly stood the test of time, not to mention plate tectonics. However, we are very excited about what’s coming. The Kaikoura Vet Club has recently purchased a new site in town & is now finalising plans for a bigger, better space for us to work from. We can’t wait to share this our clients. 

Our business is growing, particularly on the small animal side. This opens an exciting new opportunity to extend our partnership.

Kaikoura is known & loved the world over for its beautiful landscape & abundant marine life. But there’s more to this place (much more) than scenery & whales. Here the locals hunt, fish, dive, surf, ski, kayak, raft, ride & tramp, year-round. We eat very well, too! And we’re not far from the heart of NZ’s wine country.
